In Rye, New Hampshire, an illegal alien and convicted murderer from Brazil was arrested by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The 29-year-old ex-Brazilian military officer was convicted of multiple crimes, including 11 murders, mental and physical torture, and attempted murder in a case known as the "Curio Massacre" in November 2015. He had fled to the United States and was sentenced to 275 years in prison by a Brazilian criminal court in June 2023.
A foreign national who illegally entered the U.S. in 2019 has been arrested by Rye police and ICE agents. The man had a Code Red Alert from Interpol following his conviction this year. U.S. authorities had been closely monitoring him before his arrest, which took place while he was working construction at a local home.
Rye Police Chief Kevin Walsh has revealed that a recent operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies was a long-term effort.
The operation, which had been ongoing for some time, was carefully planned by federal agencies in collaboration with local law enforcement. The goal was to apprehend a specific individual, and the operation was executed at the best location and time determined by the agencies involved.
According to an eye-witness, Sammy Johnson, there was a dramatic arrest involving the use of a flashbang and military personnel. Johnson described the scene as surprising and stated that he and others at the construction site had nothing to do with the incident. He also mentioned that it was an eventful way to start the week.
A colleague of Johnson was allowed to enter New Hampshire and work there, which surprised Johnson. He finds it baffling that the colleague was able to live in New Hampshire and have a business there.
